Made for Tamra, a colleague of mine.
The yellow squares and backing are soft fleece.
The patterned squares are stripes, spots, and puppies.
Orange, blue, red, and white ribbons are sewn into the edges.
I love this style of blanket. I've seen "taggie" blankets, but this has a place for a pacifier to be attached on to one of the ribbons. A friend gave one to us for our daughter when she was born, and it was a life saver when it came to finding the binkie. Our daughter also finds it easy to get a new binkie in the middle of the night. We simply drape one (or two) of her binkie blankets over the edge of her crib. Our friend's daughter has one that she has become very attached to. The nice thing about this size security blanket is that it can travel anywhere, and makes the transition to "binkies and blankets only at night time" an easy one.
